INITIAL EVALUATIONWho is present at the evaluation? At our practice, we believe in providing a holistic approach to development by ensuring that all aspects of a child's growth are thoroughly assessed during the evaluation phase. Because of the interconnectedness of brain function, challenges in one area, can affect others. By offering comprehensive developmental evaluations that include both occupational and physical therapy, we aim to leave no gaps in a child's development. Our collaborative approach ensures optimal results in our program and sets the foundation for a child to reach their full potential. How long are the evaluations? Our comprehensive evaluations are never rushed, allowing us to gather all the insights necessary to provide a detailed, personalized plan for addressing the child’s unique needs. What do you evaluate? During the process, we carefully analyze videos and pictures from infancy onward, which helps us better understand the child’s developmental path and uncover root causes. By examining early motor patterns, we can often trace back to the “why” and pinpoint where gaps may have first developed. Our assessment process ensures all areas of the developmental hierarchy are observed, creating a connected picture that highlights key strengths and areas for growth. How do you evaluate? Evaluations are conducted using a combination of standardized instruments and expert clinical observations. Do I get a report? Yes, you will get a comprehensive report outlining our findings and individualized recommendations. Can parents be present at the evaluation? Parents have the option to be present during the evaluation as we understand that some children may participate more comfortably with or without their parents present.

TREATMENT PLANHow do you decide what to work on? Your treatment plan will be developed based on the evaluation findings, the goals established by your family, and a developmental progression designed to address any identified gaps. How do you progress monitor? Our team continuously monitors progress on a weekly basis, sharing clinical observations and maintaining detailed notes on areas of progress and next steps. Formal re-assessments are offered at the 6-month and 12-month mark, allowing for the re-administration of standardized assessments to objectively track progress.

PARENT COMMUNICATIONHow do you communicate with caregivers? We deeply value the role of parents in the developmental journey. To keep families informed and involved, we provide regular updates through pictures and videos of their child's sessions. Parents also receive thoughtful debriefings to discuss progress and insights gained. Additionally, we offer personalized home program recommendations to empower parents in supporting their child's growth at home.
